My first Primetime Link-Up was at Carowinds on June 20, 2022 to celebrate Juneteenth. At the time, the Facebook group only consisted of 200 people, and I had no idea if anyone would actually show up. To my surprise, about 25 group members joined me at the park! The energy of that day was indescribable. Our presence captured the attention of Carowinds staff, and we were afforded the exclusive privilege of riding Fury 325 with just our members. That is when I saw the vision of what Melanin Coaster Network could be to the industry and our community.

Since Carowinds, our network has grown tremendously with members from all over America with varying professions, backgrounds, ethnicities, and theme park experience levels. I am looking forward to the ways our organization will continue to grow. The MCN executive team is dedicated to creating opportunities for people of color in this industry and welcomes everyone to support that mission with us! Through global outreach and partnerships with theme parks around the country, I know we can become one of the leading rollercoaster clubs.
